TRW’s Head Protection Airbag for Convertibles
TRW has launched a new type of airbags for the head and thorax intended for the cabrio models. It will enter in series production at the end of this year.
Alexander Heilig, technical director of TRW Automotive Occupant Safety Systems said: “The protection system TRW for the head has an innovative design with two separate that will protect both head and thorax. This was realized to come in help on a side impact or a roll-over. The two models work independently accord to the protection area, but are triggered by the same sensor”.
