Renault Megane R26.R – officially launched
Renault has launched its Megane R26R version at the Auto Show in London. With this model, the ones from Renault Sport Technologies succeed to exceed their expectations and made a supreme hot hatch.
It uses the same engine, same gearbox but it now weights with 123 kg less so it can have better performances. For taking that needless weight off, the French engineers said bye bye to the back bench, airbags, AC system, projectors and they even partially kicked out some phonic isolation elements. Instead, they put sport seats. Optional, you could order the rool-cage too.
This model has a very good motorization, 255HP and 5,7 seconds for reaching 100 km/h. Regarding the exterior, you can observe the 18″ wheels and a carbon fiber bonnet which looks really cool. Unfortunately, the model will be made in only 450 units, and most probably it will be sold in France, Germany, Spain and Great Britain.
