Mercedes with electric propulsion by 2010
Mercedes-Benz has some big plans, they want to launch by 2010 an electric gamma of the Class A model, a car that will be produced in 500-1000 units/year.
As a Mercedes-Benz official said, Class A fits best with this idea because it was made with a double floor, initial thought for a hydrogen basin deposition. Instead of that hydrogen basin will be put some lithium-ion batteries.

Well, the europeans finally wake up! They really do see that the gas is ending nowadays.
Until now they only kept narrowing emissions specs - how greenish - instead of any cheaper alternative.
They even have countries that tax alternative (biodiesel) more than diesel fuel!
By that time probably even Tata will have hybrids (even old hybrids from some japanese overproduction).
Welcome to reality, dear europeans!
