Lamborghini won’t help the Earth
The Lamborghini president, Stephan Winkelmann, said at an interview for Automotive News, that the
Italian company won’t be more eco-friendly in the future and will keep the same big engines.
While all of the cars producers come with technical solutions for lowering the Co2 emissions, the guys from Lamborghini will still make cars against the eco rules.
Stephan Winkelmann said that he wants to keep the big engines because the Italian company has a big sales number ( about 2600 units per year ) and just a few of the owners drive annually more than 8000 km.

Of course, why should a company who produces such a tiny amount of cars have to make more effort than the companys causing the real damage just because their cars have big engines. Logically it makes no sence for them to be eco, but the public love to rip on the rich.

Anon is exactly right, I doubt any of the 20 people who own a Reventon are doing anywhere near as much damage as the average American in their SUV, firstly because people don’t use Lambo’s for day to day transport, and secondly because you can get up to 20 mpg out of a Gallardo whereas a Ford F150 will only do 15.
