Free revisions throughout the warranty period
The German company is going to offer a completely free maintenance program during the warranty period for its vehicles, as a sign of respect for its customers. Still, this is only available in North America.
“Carefree Maintenance Program” is completely free and will be available for all the 2009 Volkswagen models, which is going to make its debut with the new Tiguan SUV and which will also include the Routan, the 7-seat minivan which is built in collaboration with Chrysler.
Mark Banes, the Chief of Operation Office, stated that “this program is a very good initiative for increasing customers’ loyalty to the brand, but also for creating a good image. The fact that none of our competitors are offering this service is another important advantage”. What wasn’t pointed out is the fact that even though all models have a three year warranty, this is limited to only 36.000 miles, a distance which is very easy to Achieve in North America, with few maintenance operations.
Still, these services aren’t completely unique on the American market, but the important fact is that a customer will not only buy just a car, but a complete package of services, his only concern being to pay the leasing.
