Alfa Romeo to make an SUV in 2010

Alfa Romeo promised that will make a SUV in 2010, the future model being built on the same platform of the future compact Alfa 149 and it will be in competition with BMW X3, VW Tiguan, Audi Q5.

Borrowing some details from the new Alfa models, this Alfa Romeo SUV model seems to have all the needed things to become successful. At this moment, the project is called CX-Over, and it will have two types of traction – only on the front wheels or integral. The engines will have different powers, from 120 to 260 HP, the diesel ones reaching the maximum power of only 210 HP.The prices will start from 30.000 euro and you will be able to see this car at the Auto Show in Paris in 2010. The guys from Alfa Romeo said that they will produce 300.000 units, being optimist regarding the evolution of the compact SUVs segment.
