AC Schnitzer releases LCD-equipped shift knob
The German tuner, Ac Schnitzer has prepared for the drivers a screen that will indicate the actual speed step they are in. Mounted directly on the gear lever, this technique will be be helping a lot of the drivers.
The screen that uses LED technology, receives signals directly from the gear shift and can be easily installed in only a few minutes. For now, this gadget will only be commercialized for the BMW and Mini models, though the range could be expanded in the future.
The initiative of the ones from Ac Schnitzer is not totally new. Last year was launched a indicator like this but, it was displaying the speed steps on a digital screen, not on a LED type one. It would not be surprising if some auto manufacturers will use such technologies for their new models.
