15 million engines in Hungary
15 years after its inauguration, the Audi factory in Hungary has produced over 15 million engines, being the biggest supplier for the German builder.
According to Audi, the factory from Gyor is the second largest in the world, celebrating its 15 year anniversary since the opening in the spring of 1993. Audi Hungary supplies the entire Volkswagen group with engines and has to date assembled 15.4 million engines. At the opening, 800 employees built 2000 engines, and now over 5800 people produce 7000 engines and 300 cars every day.
