Jeep Renegade Concept is a 2 seat sports car which allows the driver to explore rough terrain in any weather conditions. It’s obvious that the Jeep won’t be afraid of a few sand dunes, because the two passengers are protected by a modern windshield and a protection cage. The doors have a, let’s say, exotic design.
According to officials, Jeep Renegade Concept is a vehicle whose production process aims to use a small number of materials – this is why it was specially designed for those who want enjoy Earth’s wonders without jeopardizing it’s future. The propulsion system is made up of a battery on which the vehicle can run for 64 km, in combination with a diesel BLUETEC engine.
Among the technical specifications, we’ll point out that Jeep Renegade is 388 cm long, 143 cm wide and has a clearance of 2580 mm.
These two words, which define a combi with only two doors, used especially for hunting, haven’t been heard since the time when Aston Martin built the V8 Shooting Brake.
These words will flood the fan’s minds again when Studio Torino and StudioM will unveil, at Geneva, the so-called Cinqueporte – a huge combi inspired from Quattroporte.
This unique model is not recognized by Maserati, which, according to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, doesn’t want the famous logo of the trident to be placed on Studio Torino’s “mutant”. For the latter this doesn’t matter so much, because their creation will end up in the garage of a famous (and anonymous) collector in the East, who is a great fan of the shooting break models.
Technically, the combi is identical to the limousine from which it derives, but, given the destination that it will have immediately after the close of the auto show, the car has a different back end and some absolutely special features.
For example, the front protection bumper has a more aggressive look, with huge air sockets, and the back seats can be perfectly plied; still, the paint of the mountings is unique, since they are cover in thin gold powder. Everyone’s going to be so envious.
The German tuning company, which is specialized in the products of the Maranello company, made some changes to the mechanics of a Ferrari F430 a while ago, which consisted in overcharging the engine (with two mechanic Rotrex compressors), so that it reached 656 HP. Now, Novitec applied the same changes to a F430 Spider.
Called Evoluzione, the set of modifications is made up of mounting two mechanic compressors identical to the ones on the coupe, and reprogramming the engine activity management CPU, so that it sends 656 HP to the wheels.Thanks to the increase of 166 HP, F430 Spider Evoluzione now reaches 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, and a maximum speed of 348km/h, making it one of the fastest convertibles in the world.
The latest creation of the German tuners of Volkswagen cars it’s a Seat Leon. The modifications are based on an expanded body-kit, and modifications at the TFSI engine of 2,0 liters which now has 244 HP instead of 200 HP.
At this model it was applied an aerodynamic kit that has new front/back spoilers, a new frontal grille that doesn’t have Seat’s Logo on it, new extended doorsteps, red color 18″ wheels with titanium bullets and an evacuation system that was modified.
The guys from JE Design worked at the 2.0 TFSI engine too, its power was increased with 44 HP so it now has 244 HP and 355 Nm. Because of the new technical specifications, Seat Leon by Je Design touches 100 km/h in only 6,4 seconds instead of 7,3 seconds, like the standard model used to do, and it has a top speed of 242 km/h.
For the fifth consecutive year, the students from IDE (Istituto Europeo di Design) will present at Geneva a concept car in natural size, but this time the inspiration source was the Maserati’s coupe, GranTurismo.
Chicane is a coupe with a V8 engine, mounted in the front. This car was made with the help of three new sponsors – Pirelli, OZ Racing and Cecomp – and we heard that in a few years will be made cars that will almost look like this prototype.
Now, there aren’t more details about this, but we can tell you that Chicane won’t be the only project that the people from IDE will present at Geneva, the Italian students have more three concepts with hybrid propulsions to show: Forma, Waterfall and H.A.L.O.
Last year in Geneva, Fiat relaunched the Abarth brand, by presenting the Grande Punto Abarth S2000 racing concept. This was followed in Frankfurt by the Punto Abarth SS (Super Sport), and today the super sport version of the 500 was unveiled.
The new model, which will be presented at the Geneva Auto Show, is equipped with a performance kit which includes larger air sockets, back speakers, a sport evacuation system with cromed exhaust pipes, alloy wheels, as well as the famous logo with the scorpion on the grill.
In the interior, the sportive look is given by the new sport seats, aluminum pedals and leather insertions.
The new Fiat 500 Abarth will be powered by a T-jet engine with a maximum of 135HP/5.500 rpm and a maximum torque of 180 Nm/ 2.500 rpm. The torque can be increased to 206 Nm, available at over 3.000 rpm, by the simple push of a button which is placed on the central console. In November, the 500 Abarth series will be enriched with the new EsseEsse, which will be powered by a 160HP engine.
All the Abarth models will offer a superior maneuverability, thanks to the larger wheels and a more rigid suspension, in order to improve dynamics and to be able to compete with Mini.
The car will be available with the new traction control system called Torque Control Transfer (TCT), which is able to distribute the torque to the front wheels better. This system is used by Alfa Romeo and is called Q2.
