Brabus will present at Geneva a ultra performant sedan, that is very attractive and very expensive: the starting price is 348.000 euro.

Based on the body of the new C-Class Sedan, Brabus Bullit Black Arrow is one of the fastest sedan’s on the market, reaching a maximum speed of 360 km/h, being able to accelerate to 100 km/h in only 3.9 seconds. These performances have been reached thanks to the Brabus SV12 S Biturbo engine that is mounted under the hood of the compact C-Class. The engine has a capacity of 6233 cmc, a power of 730 HP at 5100 rpm and a maximum torque of 1320 Nm, which is electronically limited at 1100 Nm. The modifications include a better admission, two special turbines, a more efficient intercooler system, and a Brabus exhaust system with a low resistance to forward motion. The new electronics assures an impressive power along with respecting the Euro 4 pollution regulations.

The 5 step automatic gear box transmits all this power to the back 19 inch wheels, which have 285 mm wide Yokohama tyres. The breaking system is one of the most impressive on this model, with 12 pistons and 380 mm discs in the front, and 6 aluminum pistons and 360 mm discs on the back wheels. This breaking capacity was necessary because Brabus Bullit Black Arrow can reach 200 km/h in only 10.49 seconds and 300km/h in only 14.5 seconds. But at the price of 348.000 euro you wouldn’t expect anything else from a supercar.

Mitsubishi Panther Concept

Even though the European auto world is waiting for the opening of the Auto Show in Geneva, Mitsubishi also has time for the Australian auto show, presenting the Panther concept.

Mitsubishi is a very appreciated brand in Australia, and this fact can’t be overlooked by the Japanese. So, especially for Australia, Mitsubishi presented a special edition called Panther, for more of its models: Colt, Lancer, Grandis, Pajero and L200 (called Triton in Australia).

The common characteristic of all the models is the “black duco” paint, the “claw” detail and the white strip from the inferior part of the body. The car’s clearance has also been lowered, and the sportive wheels have a special design, for each model. Colt and Grandis have 16 inch wheels, made from alloy, while the Mitsubishi Lancer has 20 inch chromed wheels. L200 and Pajero have bigger wheels, of 22 inches, also cromed.

Audi Q7 Coastline Concept

At the 2008 Auto Show in Geneva, the series version of the Audi Q7 V12 TDI will be preceded by a concept car: the Audi Q7 Coastline, whose interior seems to look like the inside of a yacht.

The first time when the Audi Q7 V12 TDI appeared as a concept was in 2007, at the Auto Show in Detroit.

Now, one year later, Geneva 2008 will see another concept, based on the same car and equipped with the same diesel propulsor. Audi Q7 Coastline Concept doesn’t have so many surprises on the exterior, but the interior has been totally changed.

First of all, all the wood insertions remind us of the deck of a yacht, while the rest of the interior is totally covered with white leather, the same as the car’s body paint. The wooden insertions can also be found on the back of the seats.

The trunk is the element that looks exactly like a boat: the floor is completely covered in wood and, for multiple uses, there are two compartments – boxes that can be plied inside the floor.

Holden Coupe 60 Concept

The star of the 2008 Auto Show in Melbourne was, without a doubt, the anniversary concept Holden Coupe 60.

The Holden Coupe 60 concept celebrates GM Holden’s 60 years of existence, being based on the VE Commodore Sedan model.

Although it has a classic style, the concept manages to be very aggressive, especially because of widening the body. The 21 inch wheels fit perfectly under the proeminent passages. The stylish character is pointed out by the lack of a disgracious rear flap, which was replaced with a huge diffuser in the back spoiler. Overall, the car’s design is very clean, and the special “Diamond Silver” paint stands out.

The car is equipped with a 6 liter V8 engine, with a 6 step manual gear box, which transmits power to the rear wheels – in other words, a configuration that is dedicated to racing circuits. Even though the power is not yet known, the car is environmentally friendly, because the engine is flexfuel, and it uses E85 Ethanol.

In the interior, the carbon fiber seats have 4-point seat belts, and the drivewheel instantly reminds you of the racing atmosphere, as well as the gear shifter or the perforated pedals. The central console is identical to the family sedan, but the gauges have been replaced with a racing type digital display.

The rear seats also have a racing configuration, while the trunk is more than enough for the sportive passengers of this concept.

The officials don’t exclude the option of a future series model based on this concept, which, in general, aims to show the future directions of design which Holden will apply to its models.

Giugiaro Quaranta finally revealed

Just a few days before the Auto Show in Geneva, Italdesign Giugiaro has decided to give all the information about its car. This concept car is inspired from the 1968 Bizzarrini Manta concept, and its main feature is that it is equipped with a hybrid powertrain which was supplied by Toyota.

In combination with Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive, the 3.3L V6 engine produces 268 HP and 212 pound feet of torque, and, consequently, the car reaches 62 mph in only 4.05 seconds. What is more, the car is equipped with two 16 gallon fuel tanks, which give the car an autonomy of 621 miles. Among other features, we’ll talk about the opaque roof which is covered in solar panels which run the interior electronics and recharge the batteries, the ability to use two or four wheel drive, as well as being able to raise the height of the car to a maximum of 9.17 inches. The interior is caracterized by a front center driver’s seat, with two other seats on either side and a child seat right in the center.

Kia Soul Burner

The Korean builder will be unveiling three concept cars at the Auto Show in Geneva, and one of these three is going to be the Kia Soul Burner Concept.

This new concept has been given a full redesign in the front part, being a blend between sportiveness and an upright demeanor. Among other features is the raked windshield and a shortened D-pillar, which make it look a bit more different from the Scion xB, from which it is inspired. Still, the pseudo-tribal graphics could have been much better.
