And what do you get for this money? A SLR Roadster with a bodykit and a complete interior tuning – the best leather and the best wooden/aluminium insertions – equipped with the same V8 engine with 650 HP which can be found under the hood.

The car can reach 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and has a maximum speed of 340 km/h, as fast as the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, which costs two times less.

Audi R8 TDI Le Mans Concept

Audi is coming to Geneva with a diesel concept based on the actual R8, with a V12 engine that outputs 500 HP and 1000 Nm of torque.

Being a twin brother to the same model that was presented at the Auto Show in Detroit, Audi R8 TDI Le Mans is different by the intense red color and the name “Le Mans”, a more powerful name in this part of the world.

The car is equipped with the same impressive V12 diesel engine with common-rail technology, capable of a large number of injections/cycle, which improve performances, but also have an important role in reaching high temperatures of the exhaust fumes that are necessary for the good functioning of the filters which are capable of cleansing the air up to the Euro 6 standards.

The engine is overcharged with two turbines and the car reaches 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, and a top speed of 300 km/h, from which it can break thanks to the ceramic breaks with an extended life of up to 300.000 km.

If Audi has dediced to show this car in Geneva, things are absolutely clear: the model will go into series production.

The first images of this concept have been released. Seat is planning that the future Seat Ibiza model will be available in the next 12 months, Bocanegra Concept being a preview for the new model. The car will be equipped either with a 1.2 liter turbo engine or with a 1.4 liter normal engine. The series model will be launched at the Auto Show in Madrid, in May 2008.

Mercedes GLK Vision Hybrid Bluetec Concept

Mercedes GLK, the rival of BMW X3 and of Audi Q5, is at its second appearance in public, but still as a concept car, which is environmentally friendly.

Even though it is still a concept, the design of the car seems to be finished, so the key point to this concept will be the propulsion system.

The propulsion system is a hybrid one, which combines a 4 cillinder CDI diesel engine (with a capacity of 2.2 liters, piezoelectric injectors and a two step tubro system) with an electric engine, the maximum combined power reaching 224 HP, with a torque of over 400 Nm. These values lead to very good performances, at least in theory: reaching 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds, and a maximum speeed of 215 km/h.

The medium fuel consumption is about 5.9 liters /100km, and, because the Bluetec system is being used, the CO2 emissions reach the level of 157g/km, the lowest value for a SUV, according to the officials at Mercedes. What is more, the engine corresponds to the Euro 6 pollution standards.

Land Rover LRX Concept Black & Silver

Presented for the first time at Detroit, the LRX concept will be presented at Geneva with a new degree of customization and with a hybrid propulsion system, with an exceptional consumption level for a SUV.

As the name suggests, the new model was painted in two colours, and is the first ever Land Rover to be equipped with carbon fiber elements, which are designed to increase resitance and reduce the overall weight. The LRX concept has new wheels, slightly modified spoilers, points for attaching snowboards or other sporting equipments and a new propulsion system.

This is where the concept becomes interesting, because according to the British at Land Rover, the 2 liter diesel engine is connected to a hybrid system that allows it to have a consumption level of 4.7 liters / 100km, and the CO2 emissions are only 120g/km. The interesting thing is that this is achieved without altering the off road performances. The electric Rear Axel Drive system allows the car to run only on electric current at low speeds, and as the car runs faster, the thermal engine starts and runs in parallel with the electric one until an optimum level is reached.

Land Rover hasn’t announced any intentions of series production for this model, and for now they are happy with using these two LRX concepts to promote their image at different auto shows in the world.

Porsche 997 tuned by Gemballa

The Gemballa Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R project comes as a response to the competitors, Gemballa being one of the most known Porsche tuners. The physical aspect is totally different from the original, and the 911 is the most desired model by those who have a passion for Porsche tunung. The front part is similar to the Carrera model, and at the back we can find a tall rear flap and a big spoiler, which are painted in constrast with the rest of the body.

The model is equipped with a 3.8 liter propulsor which can reach 850 HP and can develop a torque of 935 Nm. In order to reach this performance, the twin turbo Garret TO35 system had to be modified, as well as the crank shaft and the pistons. Another adition to the physical aspect is represented by the 19 inch wheels.
