Among other premieres, the launch of a prototype which sets new standards in economy will take place at the Auto show in Geneva. The German house Zenz brings a revolutionary concept, capable of reaching a speed of 230 km/h, with a fuel consumption of only 3 liters / 100 km.
The Zenz concept achieves this low level of consumption despite the high performance due to the fact that it only weighs 760 kg, also having a very good aerodynamics.

The prototype is equipped with a 160 HP diesel propulsor, and a more powerful version has already been announced, which will be capable of reaching a top speed of 260 km/h.
The interior is also very reach in features, as the seats, the drivewheel and the pedals are adjustable. There is also a navigation system and a performant audio system, as well as electric mirrors and windows and air conditioning.
The German designers haven’t announced a series version yet, the future of the concept depending on the impression it leaves at the Auto Show in Geneva.

Under the name of GTSStreet, the well know German tuner TechArt has turned an “ordinary” 911 Turbo Cabrio into a real dragster, capable of competing even with the fastest cars on the planet.
The car can reach 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and has a maximum speed of 345 km/h, and it will be presented at the Auto Show in Geneva.
GTStreet is practically an “add-on” of the coupe version, which TechArt brought at last years’ show, having the same overcharged boxer of 630 HP – being, practically, one of the fastest cabrios in the world.

Three years ago, Mitsubishi presented a concept version of the Hatchback Lancer, and only one year later they announced that the car will go into series production. Today, the Japanese officials confirmed that they will bring to Geneva a version that is close to the final series one.

In these photos you can see the aggressive design characterized by profiled lines and an imposing attitude. Also, the optic blocks are remarcable and the front/back spoilers with series design, as well as the exhaust system with conventional exhaust pipes.
These images have been published on the internet by the Germans at the Autobuild magazine, mostly because 70% of the sales will be targeted towards the German market.

Lancer hatchback will have the same 2 liter turbo propulsor under the hood, and 240 Hp like the Ralliart version, which will be connected to the double clutch transmission SST. In terms of traction, the car will have four-wheel drive.

The Italian studio seems to have run out of ideas for this edition of the Auto Show in Geneva. They will present Hidra, a concept car which has a striking resemblance to the one presented in the same period of the last year.
This concept is different from Thalia, as it doesn’t have the “turret” behind the pavillion anymore, but the rest looks the same, and what is worse, the most interesting thing has disappeared: the excentric line which made everyone curious.

So, we’ll have to deal with a usual study if we follow the recent years’ fashion, the theme that was chosen being “four-doored coupe”, in a more aerodynamic presentation than Thalia.
The lack of inspiration is even more tragic, as Fioravanti will celebrate the 20 years of activity this year, an anniversary that deserves to be better celebrated since Bertone and Pininfarina keep a very high level in the world of top design.

Don’t get your hopes up – this isn’t the new name for a “M” model, it’s only an aerodynamic kit made by BMW for it’s smallest model, which will be presented at the Auto Show in Geneva next month.

The kit doesn’t touch the engine, which means that the cars’ performance will stay the same; the looks are seriously upgraded, which, for many, is all that matters.
Practically, through this kit BMW eliminates the need for neighbourhood tuners, introducing – apart from the usual set of sport spoilers, ultrawide wheels – all sorts of “toys” for the big guys: a rare material called alcantara covers the drivewheel, a display that shows every information about the car (lateral acceleration, ideal times for changing gears), cromed shifter (designed to reduce the shift time by 25%) and numerous carbon fiber insertions.
