Still a concept, Buick Invicta takes its name from a model which appeared in 1959. Using the classical recipe, lowering the ceiling, rising the doors and using small windows, Buick succeeded to create what it’s called a 4 doors coupe.

With design elements taken from Riviera, which was presented at Shanghai last year, Invicta it’s closer to a series version, Buick wanting this to represent the first American model drawn for international markets.

Buick Invicta has a good motorization with direct injection, in 4 cylinders. This engine generates 250HP, but a V8 of 400 HP would have been better. The transmission is assured by the automatic gear box in 6 steps.

We can’t think what the future of this concept will be, and we still don’t know why it looks so much like Opel Insignia.

The next year, the guys from Sweden will re-examine the top model, which will adopt a new look - something related to the Aero-X concept, first presented in 2006.

The General Manager of the company,  Steve Shannon, said that the new model will be presented at a big international auto show. Most car enthusiasts think that he was talking about the Auto Show in Paris that will be opened in October.

It is said that the Swedish limo will have some new motorizations, of a bigger capacity. Saab 9-5 will be constructed on the Epsilon II platform, the one used for the new Opel Vectra, and its character will be even more sportive than in the past.

Audi made public all the informations about the new Audi Q5, and there are some new pictures too. Unfortunately the price is still unknown, we must wait for the official appearance in Europe.

The new Audi Q5 is a compact-medium SUV, having the length of 4,63m, 1,88m wide and 1,65m high. Audi Q5 comes with 2 different exterior packages: “S-Line” - makes the car look more dynamical, while “Offroad-Style” it’s dedicated for the people that appreciate the off-road spirit. The “Offroad-Style” package has some additional protections and 19″ wheels with specific design.

About the technical part, there are different motorizations that you can choose - an engine based on benzine (2.0 FSI) and 2 diesel engines (2.0 TDI and 3.0 TDI V6). The engine that runs on benzine it has direct injection and a turbocompressor, being capable to reach the power of 211Hp. Its performances are pretty good (0-100 km/h in 7,2 seconds and the maximum speed of 222 km/h). This engine eats 8,5l/100km. The diesel ones eat less fuel, the 2.0 TDI one eats only 6,7l/100 km and the other one 7,7l/100 km. The 3.0 TDI engine is very powerful, it develops 240 HP.

Audi Q5 is very effective too, it has a big luggage carrier capable to transport 540 liters (it can reach 1560 liters - its maximum capacity). It is a luxurious car, you can easily observe the top components: keyless access, tri-zone AC, panoramic sunroofs.

Most of the Chinese auto constructors don’t think that it’s a bad thing to copy a whole car or even some parts of one, but we have a different opinion.

If this Lifan 320 is not 100% the same like the popular Mini, at first sight it looks like a Mini. But, the original model isn’t available in 5 doors, and it looks better, there’s no doubt about that.

As I told you, Lifan 320 is a little bit different than the Mini, it can transport 5 adults even if it’s longer with only 5 cm. The car is 3,75 meters long, 1,62 meters wide and 1,43 meters high. It has a 1,3l 16V engine that eats 4,89 liters/100 km, this car being capable to reach the speed of 155 km/h.

Lifan 320 will be available on the Chinese Market starting with the second half of the year, and it is said that it will be the cheapest car from its category. My opinion? This vehicle is just a bad copy of the Mini.

No, this is not a joke, it’s a true statement of the vice president of Geely, Frank Zhao, who said at a recent conference about the chinese auto industry that he wants to make a formula 1 car, which may be called Gelly GF Formula Race Car. This car is a plan for the year 2015 … maybe there will be a future Chinese Schumi? Why not?

D3 Research and Design is a tuning master, specialized on Cadillac models, this time having a new exterior kit for Cadillac CTS.

Cadillac CTS D3 isn’t a bling-bling creation, in fact it’s an austere creation for an American tuning. The frontal grille is made up of stainless steel, its finishing being very smooth, conferring elegance. In the same time, because of the modified front spoiler, the car now permits a batter aeration for the engine.

The doorsteps were modified too, now being more dynamical, the back spoiler was redrawn, and it now offers a better stability on the road. Other things related to the aerodynamic aspect of the car are the 2 small ailerons, which can be found on the top of the luggage carrier and on the top part of the lunette.

This D3 tuning kit proposes some new special tires and wheels, the only ones that attract attention because they are black and not the same color as the car is.
