1968 Plymouth GTX 440 Six Pack Wagon
For nearly a decade the Plymouth wagon was sitting in a back yard in California, and even if the car was somewhat neglected, it’s rust free, completely intact, so the guys from Performance West Group just had to bring it back to life. But to recover her greatness, the GTX 440 Six Pack Wagon had to maintain its timeless original appearance. Well this did not stop the designers to take care of all the small details and blend them with latest improvements, making the car to look like a reborn.

The first thing you will notice about the car it’s the paint, the latest paint technology from Sherwin-Williams Automotive but with the philosophy of the contemporary times. Also a good choice was the Six Pack Lift Off Hood, bringing a classic look with the GTX dual side accent stripes and emblems. With white leather, this car is a perfect contrast for a harmony of textures and colors. Original stuff it’s installed also, 1968 GTX bucket seats, style loop carpeting in blue, complete GTX dashboard and instrument panel, adding interest and detail to the interior.
With a 7.2 liter V8 engine the car stands up for its name, also backed up by a bullet proof Hays Clutch that transmits the power to a genuine A833 4 Speed manual transmission armed with a Hurst Competition Plus Shifter. Equipped with Pirelli PZero ultra high performance radial tires, Hotchkis Performance sway bars, heavy duty 440 torsion bars and a completely refreshed suspension system, this car promises to be a modern high speed motoring.
Looking at the Plymouth GTX 440 Six Pack Wagon we start wondering how exciting the 1960’s were, how people in that age were cruising’ in style, and how today we only think if the cars we buy have front or back wheel drive.
