BMW 1 series Aerokit at Geneva

Don’t get your hopes up – this isn’t the new name for a “M” model, it’s only an aerodynamic kit made by BMW for it’s smallest model, which will be presented at the Auto Show in Geneva next month.

The kit doesn’t touch the engine, which means that the cars’ performance will stay the same; the looks are seriously upgraded, which, for many, is all that matters.

Practically, through this kit BMW eliminates the need for neighbourhood tuners, introducing – apart from the usual set of sport spoilers, ultrawide wheels – all sorts of “toys” for the big guys: a rare material called alcantara covers the drivewheel, a display that shows every information about the car (lateral acceleration, ideal times for changing gears), cromed shifter (designed to reduce the shift time by 25%) and numerous carbon fiber insertions.
