Renault Ondelios concept
It couldn’t be possible for Renault to skip the opportunity to launch a new concept car at the Auto Show in Paris, a concept that has no connection with the series models.
And it’s good that it has no connection with the series models, because if Avantime and VelSatis had a limited success, Ondelios would have been good just as an exhibition car. “Ondelios is inspired by motion rather than speed and is a whole new response to the call of the open road” said Patrick Le Quement, the design director from Renault.
It has a length of 4.8 meters, 1.6 meters high and represents a vision of the French producer regarding a high-end model with inspirations from the aviation world. Equipped with two huge doors, the prototype benefits of three rows of seats, a very futurist interior and a set of Samsung multimedia portable systems for each passenger of the car.
Regarding its technical details, we are talking about a 2.0 dCi engine of 205 HP helped by two electrical engines of 20kW. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,8 seconds. The fuel consumption is low too, only 4,5 liters / 100 km.
