BYD F3DM
At the Auto Show in Detroit, BYD came with a hybrid capable to compete with models such as Toyota Prius or Honda Insight Hybrid.
One of the most important models the Chinese came with at the Auto Show in Detroit was this BYD F3DM, a hybrid with a 1.0 liter engine which in mixture with the electric engines has a power of 168 HP.
On the other hand, car’s performances are not so bright. We are talking about a maximum speed of only 149 km/h and slow acceleration, it takes 10,5 seconds for reaching 100 km/h. But, BYD F3DM can be proud of it’s ability to run almost 110 km exclusively on batteries. The batteries can be charged at 50% of capacity in just 10 minutes. However, who wants full charge will have to wait 7 hours, not 20 minutes.
