Audi A1 Sportback concept
With less than 24 hours before the opening of the Paris Auto Show, Audi shows how the future seems to be for their small class.
Audi A1 Sportback is a closer to reality follow-up, in four doors, of the Audi A1 Metroproject, exposed at the Auto Show in Tokyo, which demonstrates that the manufacturer is on the good path. The concept has a length of about 4 meters, being clearly placed a class lower than the Audi A3 hatchback, with has 4.29 meters.
Its power comes from a 1.4 liter 150 HP engine, but there is a trick in the form of a hybrid unit, which provides 27 more HP. Helped by the new transmission with dual S-Tronic clutch, A1 Concept Sportback says that it reaches 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. This didn’t kick you off your seat? What about the very low consumption of only 3.9 liters / 100 km traveled – this is really impressive!
