In these pictures you can see an Audi R8 relpica made by a Spanish guy who started from a technical platform provided by a Ford.

All this story started from a Ford Cougar V6 of 2.5 liters, to which was added a body which keeps almost to perfection the dimensions and shapes of the German model, an Audi R8. Alberto Gavach Fuertes from Zaragoza is the genius who created this model, and the result is impressive given the facts that the front transmission and engine mounted in the front were kept, although Audi R8 is a model with the engine positioned in the center.

There were applied modifications only to the car’s exterior, because in the interior only a R8 logo was mounted on the steering wheel, nothing more. Interesting is that the owner put the car up for sale and wants 40.000 euro for it, three times less than an original model but more expensive than a brand new Audi TT 2.0 TFSI. Hard to choose, right?

160 HP added and 250 kg less at an Audi R8 sounds really good, right? Well, these specifications are found on the special model prepared by PPI Automotive Design, being named Razor GTR.

PPI Automotive Design, not a very popular tuner, will present at the Auto Show from Essen a great custom car called PPI Razor GTR, which technically is a modified Audi R8 . The aim of this project was to improve the aerodynamics and the power of this supercar. So, the German tuners managed to reduce the car’s weight by 250 kg and increase its power to 580 HP. This modifications automatically improved the car’s acceleration, PPI Razor GTR reaching the speed of 100 km/h in only 3.7 seconds.

In addition to the technological progresses, Razor GTR is presented with an aerodynamic kit and new body elements which provide a very sharp aspect. Also, in order to facilitate the pressing line, this tuned model gets a huge aileron and a adjustable hydraulic suspension.

The Mini Cooper you can see in these pictures is more a work of art than a car, and will be exposed at the Picadilly museum in London. The British model is decorated with one million Swarovski crystals of 40 colors which practically sketch the main American symbols: the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, the White House and the American flag.

The model you can see in this picture is a Bugatti Veyron with a body-kit finished to behave like a mirror. But it’s not Dubai, U.S, nor Russia.

In fact, the model was realized by an artist called Olaf Nicolai, the model being exposed in the new Autostadt flag of Volkswagen, situated in Wolfsburg, Germany, which reopened on 31 october. The most important models of the German group are exposed in a special area full of mirrors.
So, if Volkswagen will ever sell this model, where will it arrive? Most probably Dubai, Moscow or Las Vegas.

The world is full of modified Japanese models that aspire to supremacy in different confrontations on road between “bad boys”. Well, one of those “bad boys” can now be proud of his car, being the fastest Honda Civic in the world, a car that is for sale on eBay!

The car, a 1999 Civic, established an official speed record on the salt track from Bonneville, Utah, where it achieved a maximum speed of 366 km/h. I made you want it? You can have it, just bid more than $21.177.77 and go to Las Vegas, Nevada to pick it! Oh, unnecessary to mention that this car has very few things in common with the series model, an engine that develops 728 HP being the most essential part of the modification process.

You see it almost every day on Discovery, being used by the engineer team from the Overhauled tv show, or simply on streets, so it couldn’t miss the chance of appearing at SEMA 2008. Of course, we are talking about a creation by Chip Foose, the man who came at the biggest event dedicated to the after-market products, with a Plymouth Barracuda.

The car, model 1970, was named “Terracuda” and is painted in what some consider to be the most beautiful brown in the world, a beautiful shade put in value. Developed together with the specialists from BASF, the paint is part of a new line of colors (and combinations of colors) that bears the name of Chip Foose.

However, Terracuda is not just a beautifully colored muscle-car, but one intensely modified, starting with the bodywork: Chip Foose sketched the design, and the ones from Art Carr made everything possible and build the car by the drawings of the passionate designer. Meanwhile, under the hood you can find a Mopar V8 of 6.4 liters.
